Show you support the impact and value of volunteerism! From June 1st to June 14th, 2015 the South Okanagan Similkameen Volunteer Centre is hosting an auction to raise funds for programs that support volunteers. Easily create an account to bid on items, or donate. Share this auction link with friends and family, as they will not want to miss out on the unique auction items and packages. Thank you for your interest, your participation, your most of all your support. A charitable receipt is provided for all online donations, and cash donations over $25.00.

Our communities are built on the efforts of volunteers. We all know someone who gives of their time; a friend, a neighbour, a family member. Volunteers help people in need, they help rescue animals in distress and volunteers help ensure the quality of our communities and environment. Funds raised through this auction go towards supporting these volunteers and encouraging more residents to volunteer.

At the South Okanagan Similkameen Volunteer Centre we raise awareness on the increased need for volunteer help. We reach out to volunteers and non-profits. We provide those who wish to give of their time easy access to volunteering. We manage a searchable database of volunteer opportunities open in the area. We help non-profits establish best practices for engaging volunteers. The South Okanagan Similkameen Volunteer Centre as a community builder, voices the successes and concerns of volunteerism, to our government, community leaders and organizations. Winning Bidder Payment Information

Winning bidders will be contacted at the end of the auction to make arrangements for payment and pickup/delivery.

Payment Types Accepted:

  • Cash - By appointment only.  Please email [email protected] to schedule a meeting for pickup/payment.
  • Cheque - Please make payable to  "South Okanagan Similkameen Volunteer Centre Society".
  • Secure Online Payment options:
    • PayPal - We can email you an invoice.  You do not need a PayPal account for this option.
    • Email Money Transfer - Please confirm details with us before sending.

Winning Bidder Item Pickup/Delivery:

  • Winning Bidders in Penticton can pick their items up in Penticton at 102-696 Main Street, date and time to be determined.
  • Scheduled drop off days for Osoyoos and Oliver to be determined.
  • Shipping may require an additional fee. Contact [email protected] for details.

 

General Auction Information

  • The time on this server will be used to determine the start and end times of the auction. This time may be off from your local time. Refer to the approximate time in the right hand side of this page.
  • When the auction closes, all bidders will receive an e-mail regarding the status of the items they have bid on.
  • The highest bid placed on an item, by auction close, is the winner. There can only be one winner per auction item. The auction administrator (group hosting the auction) agrees to sell the item to the highest bidder.
  • You must register an account in order to place bids. Click Register on the upper right hand side of this page in the login area. Once you have registered, a confirmation/activation will be emailed to you. You must click on the link in the email message to complete the registration process. If you haven't received your confirmation email, please check your "junk mail" or "spam" folder as it may have gone there. You can also re-request the confirmation email. The link for resending the activation code can be found in the login area.
